New Local DCS Solution Integrates Seamlessly With Central Operations
The Customer’s Challenge
A food/consumer goods manufacturer required the implementation of new unit operation batch controls solution with local operator interface and integration to existing central operations control room, and batch management and process history supervisory functions.
They selected a Rockwell hardware platform for implementation of the new unit operation, which was different than their installed Honeywell TDC3000/TPS Control System.
The JMP Approach
JMP engineers studied the client’s production process and determined the need for three key undertakings: upgrade the of existing Honeywell TDC300 System to include ExperionPKS Server, implementation of new unit operation controls with Rockwell FTView and ControlLogix, and OPC Integration of new unit operation controls with the ExperionPKS System.
JMP’s Unique Value
The JMP team made sure they understood the client’s business need before turning to the engineered solution. They then proposed a Rockwell/Honeywell OPC systems integration solution that aligned with the customer’s requirements and was supported through close coordination with system hardware suppliers.
The Customer Payoff
JMP’s solution included complete responsibility for Control System specification, design and delivery and coordination of hardware vendor(s) scheduling and supply.
